The much anticipated addition to the social calendar was held at Richmond Greyhound Racing Club and after two fantastic results on the park for both teams earlier in the day, the players had much to celebrate. Division Five had won their first final against Sydney University and Division Three wrapped up the minor premiership and earned the first week off finals after a challenging battle against fellow final contenders Gosford Wildcats.

All up there were 88 family, friends, sponsors and supporters of the Magic who attended the night and enjoyed a night full of festivities. There were raffles, some delicious cocktail food, an open bar and ofcourse the main attraction and entertain for the night, the dog races. Everyone who attended were in good spirits and got behind the main cause of the night, which was to ultimately raise some funds for the beloved Blacktown Magic AFC.

The ten races on the night were sold via the Magic to club sponsors and supporters to provide a great opportunity for advertising and exposure to the local race enthusiasts. We would like to thank the Sponsors once again for their generous support for our night – without them this would not have happened. The race names were as follows:

R 1: Ettamogah Hotel

R 2: The Monty & Theo Cup

R 3: Janice Johnson Memorial

R 4: Big Guns Stake

R 5: P & D PI Enterprises

R 6: St Mary’s Pet Centre

R 7: Blacktown Magic AFC

R 8: The Clifford Family Cup

R 9: BMAFC Division 3 and 5

R 10: Big Dog’s Dash for Cash

The night was an outstanding success with over $4,000 raised for the club and this event will definitely be back next year. Once again, thank you for all your support and generosity on the night and to Richmond Greyhound Racing Club for hosting our function so professionally!
