The night of nights for Blacktown Magic Australian Football Club was held at Event Cinemas Castle Towers on Saturday night 11th May.

Over 240 friends, families and supporters of the Magic lined up in anticipation for the cinema doors to open to reserve their seats in the V-Max cinema to watch the highly reviewed Iron Man 3 in 3D.

To start the night, everyone socialised in the foyer with a few drinks and were tempted by the items up for grabs from Ezybidz. Ezybidz partner with charities, organisations and businesses to help them surpass their fundraising goals. Their mission is to provide a highly desirable fundraising service through effective consultancy with their clients and by providing outstanding goods and services for their client’s fundraising use.

As the patrons entered the cinema they were handed their 3D glasses for the movie spectacular and grabbed their popcorn, soft drinks and lucky door prize tickets on the way through. There was much hype around the movie and whether or not it would live up to its expectations of the previous two Iron Man movies.

Blacktown Magic President John Clifford welcomed and thanked everyone for attending the major fundraiser for the club and that it was great to see so many faces returning for their second movie night appearance organised by the Magic. Assistant Coach, Leighton Corr, gave an update of how the season was going so far and the progress the club has made in just its second year in the Sydney AFL competition. Then it was over to the ever entertaining Pat Barclay who announced the lucky winners of the door prizes and auction items.

The lucky door prizes handed out to the lucky winners included:

– 2 V-Max movie gift vouchers, supplied by Events Cinema Castle Towers

– Iron Man 2 Framed Film Cell

The raffle prizes handed out to the lucky winners included:

– 12 bottles of red wine, supplied by Cellar Masters

The auction prize handed out to the lucky winner included:

Ironman 3 2

Let the entertainment begin. Iron Man 3 was a fantastic film and with the help of its captivating lead, some full on action scenes, and even a few surprises, Iron Man 3 was an engaging adventure and a solid addition to the Marvel movie collection.

The Magic’s Committee would like to thank all those involved in organising the night and for all the support to which everyone gave to make the night another success.

Without a doubt, the BMAFC Movie Night Fundraiser will return for another year so stay tuned for which premier the Magic can organise for all your viewing pleasures.
