Blacktown Magic Volunteers recognised at our Annual Presentation Night

We have a wonderful team of volunteers at present at the Magic but some extra hands make light work throughout the season. Integral to the success of the Magic is the support of the volunteers, families, schools, the Indigenous community and businesses in the Blacktown area.

As a volunteer, here at the Magic we hope to build a relationship with you and other great members of our local community. We’re the only Men’s and Women’s AFL club in the Blacktown LGA and the participation rate for the sport is increasing and so is the need for volunteers. We aim to provide a platform that gives individuals and their families the chance to foster and develop relationships within a football environment and broader community.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support the Magic and we acknowledge the volunteers are vital to the club’s survival for this year and many years to come. Recognition of our volunteers is of upmost importance for the Magic and we do this via the Volunteer Recognition Program run by the AFL and invitations to our social events.

We are now calling on volunteers and would be extremely grateful if volunteers could assist with the following duties:

• Ground Manager
• Umpire Escorts
• BBQ and food preparation
• Canteen assistants
• Club Umpire, Boundary Umpire and Goal Umpire
• Timekeeper

If you have some spare time on the weekend, have a friend or relative who plays for the Magic or you simply love the game of AFL – we would love to have you here at the Magic. Together we would grow the club for the future of the game in Blacktown.
